As the year begins to loosen its grip, many of us feel a subtle pressure to decide<\/em> what comes next. Plans. Goals. Intentions. A sense of forward motion, neatly packaged and ready for January.<\/p>\n

But renewal doesn\u2019t usually arrive that way.<\/p>\n

More often, what\u2019s next needs space<\/strong> before it needs direction.<\/p>\n

We tend to think of endings as something to rush through \u2014 something to \u201cwrap up\u201d so we can move on. But some endings aren\u2019t meant to be resolved quickly. They\u2019re meant to be felt<\/em>. Integrated. Allowed to settle.<\/p>\n

Making space for what\u2019s next isn\u2019t about setting resolutions or fixing what didn\u2019t work. It\u2019s about noticing what you\u2019re still carrying \u2014 and gently deciding what no longer needs to come with you.<\/p>\n

It might look like letting go of an old expectation you\u2019ve been holding onto long after it stopped serving you. It might be as simple \u2014 and as difficult \u2014 as allowing yourself to rest without immediately replacing rest with productivity.<\/p>\n

When we don\u2019t make this space, the new year tends to arrive already crowded. We bring old habits, old tensions, old self-judgments forward without realizing it. We step into \u201cwhat\u2019s next\u201d while still dragging pieces of what\u2019s behind us.<\/p>\n

Space changes that.<\/p>\n

Space allows clarity to emerge naturally, without force. It creates room for quieter truths to surface \u2014 truths that can\u2019t be accessed when everything is packed too tightly together.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t need to know exactly what comes next right now. You don\u2019t need a polished plan or a perfect intention.<\/p>\n
